Our Anchorage Coastal Cruise Bike Tour allows you to experience the wild side of Alaska’s largest city on a leisurely 9.5-mile guided ride.
The tour begins with a ride through the urban wilderness of Kincaid Park.
This incredible place is over 1,500 acres of forested hills nestled on the coastline where moose, bears, bald eagles, and other incredible creatures are often spotted.
And you start your tour surrounded by history, not just wilderness. This was once a Cold War Nike Hercules Missile site!
In addition to Kincaid Park, we also visit Earthquake Park. Here, we bike through some of the lasting devastations from the 1964 Earthquake.
The ride then ends at Westchester Lagoon, a waterfowl sanctuary.
This Anchorage coastal bike trail offers views of five different mountain ranges, so there are plenty of opportunities for incredible photos along the way.
And as we ride, your guide shares fascinating facts and stories about the region’s natural and human history.
NOTE: This is not an electric bike tour.
In the afternoon, join your Hoperator as they escort you off the beaten path to some of the finest breweries in Anchorage.
This experience is as much about the history of Alaskan beers, the masters who brew them, and the locals who drink them as it is about tasting the beers themselves.
The tour includes a minimum of 14 beer tastings from three different brewery stops.
With a selection of appetizers at Midnight Sun Brewing Co. to enjoy, roundtrip transportation, and four hours of fun and fascinating stories, you’ll have plenty of memories to share with friends back home.

Our guide was great. We took breaks at appropriate times, saw moose on our ride, and Caitlyn shared some Alaska history. Equipment was great. We would highly recommend

The pace of the group was steady and not hard to follow. For a 20 something-year-old it was a little slower than my normal, but in a larger group it was great. They made a few stops along the way to catch your breath and to share knowledge of history and the landscape. There is an alternative to this tour, where you can rent bikes in downtown Anchorage and bike the tour yourself, but I still recommend this tour. The trail is 19-20 miles long and they drive you to the opposite end from Anchorage, so you can see the southern half. I would recommend renting a bike downtown and doing the north half on your own, as it's a great trail with lots to see. …

We had 2 guides, Ellie who led the group and Stephanie who rode in the back with me. It had been about 30 years since I had ridden (FYI- practice biking before you go if you are rusty at it so you don't embarrass yourself...yup...I embarrassed myself!).
Stephanie was helpful, encouraging, and extremely patient. I really appreciated her staying behind and letting me know what was coming up on the trail such as curves and slopes.
Ellie stopped at various points along the way. As our guide, she shared information about Alaska that was really interesting. Both of these wonderful woman are first class. If you do anything while in Anchorage, this needs to be on your list!

She was... read more very upbeat & approachable. She also spotted a mama and a baby moose - the baby only 10 feet off the trail - and kept us safe while we enjoyed an extra long stop to watch the moose eating (while mama watched from the bushes). Would definitely recommend.

It was a group of 6. My family of 4 and 2 other ladies. The bikes were very nice comfort bikes. The trail was beautiful. We saw 2 moose and 2 bears. Elly led the tour and the pace was casual. Most of the trip is downhill. We stopped several times to see things along the trail. Elly was knowledgeable and friendly.
My wife has not ridden a bike much in the past several years and had no problems.
