KENAI PENINSULA MOUNTAIN BIKE ADVENTURE

Beginning at Kincaid Park, in the forested hills along the Cook Inlet, you will bike the Tony Knowles Coastal Trail leisurely. Along the way, your guide will share the history of Anchorage and the surrounding area with you. Make sure you keep a lookout for moose and other wildlife!

Depart downtown Anchorage at 8 am, driving south to Turnagain Arm. Begin your bike ride at Bird Creek on a road bike. Cycle where the ocean meets the mountains and enjoy the scenery while your guide shares historical and natural history. The bike ride can range from 12 to 30 miles.

This two-week course begins with the core fundamentals of mountain biking. Topics include bike-body separation, climbing positions, braking, descending positions, cornering, front, and rear-wheel lifts, ratcheting, and balance techniques.
