Tour the historic coastal routes of Anchorage!

Anchorage boasts a citywide award-winning trail system — and you can tour it with us! Our greenbelts connect the neighborhoods of Anchorage, the coastlines of Cook Inlet, and the Chugach Mountain Range. Join us on one of our most popular Anchorage guided bike tours — a ride through stunning scenery, from the coast to the mountains, and back again.

Anchorage has one of the finest urban trail systems in the United States, with hundreds of miles of paved and multi-use trails connecting our city. Our Anchorage Greenbelt Bike Tour connects the Tony Knowles Coastal Trail, Chester Creek Trail, and the Campbell Creek Trail to form a 30-mile bike loop. This almost complete urban greenway has the outline of a moose head when viewed on a map!

Bike the routes where the Dena’ina people spent the spring and summer months, where they camped along the creek fishing for salmon that they would then clean, smoke, and package for the winter. Along these greenbelts, keep on the lookout for moose, black bears, bald eagles, salmon, and other wildlife! Experience why locals love Anchorage and feel how wild Alaska is even in the state’s largest city.
