Required

  • Must know how to ride a bike
  • Warm winter layers appropriate for the weather. We recommend dressing like you are going skiing.

Go North! Willow is a winter wonderland where locals go to play. With miles of maintained, groomed trails experience fat-tire bikes in the environment, they were designed to conquer. Pedal your way through the woods, enjoy the crisp air and catch the afternoon sun on frozen lakes that create wide-open spaces. Meet the dogs that have run the Iditarod, the Last Great Race! Learn about the amazing sport of dog mushing and then hit the trails on a dog sled. You can either sit and enjoy the ride or help your guide drive the sled!

This all-inclusive tour is an excellent taste of what Anchorage is all about in the winter. Perfect for adventures, families, and those who want to get out and explore our winter wonderland.  Does your group have varying fitness levels? Upgrade to an electric assist fat bike and go faster and farther with friends and family. Also, great for the other half who doesn’t own the padded biking shorts.

The key to fat bike comfort is warm head, feet, and hands—Alaska Trail Guides provides pogies, hand warmers, and insulated overboots for these contact points so you’ll be ready for miles of riding! Just come dressed in layers (non-cotton), like you are going out skiing. The length of the trip may vary based on conditions.
